• Developed the health plan entitled, "Healthy People, Healthy
    Communities in Big Bend, Florida, 2003";
  • Participated in Statewide Studies, e.g. "Access to Healthcare in the
    District" and "Uninsured in the District";
  • Hospital and Nursing Home Utilization in the District, Health
    Facilities Utilization-Trend Analyses;
  • Health Needs Surveys: Calhoun, Franklin and Liberty Counties.
    Bay, Franklin, Gulf Health Needs Assessment Study;
  • Developed "A Nursing Home Directory for the District", and "A
    Guide to Advanced Directives";
  • Provided grant writing assistance, e.g. a New Access Point CHC in
    Bay and Gulf Counties;
  • Provided educational opportunities for health professionals
    through sponsorship of conferences;
  • Assisted the State Office of Health Professional Recruitment in the
    review & designation of the District's Health Professional Shortage
    Areas/Medically Underserved Areas;
  • Assisted the State in expanding the HealthFlex program in Florida
    counties;
  • Reviewed State plans and policy statements, e.g. Florida
    Comprehensive Cancer Control Initiative, an approach to
    coordinating and integrating cancer control activities, Florida's
    Plan for Action for Tobacco Control;
  • Partnered with the Broward Regional Health Planning Council in
    implementing the "Florida Statewide Prevention Quality Indicator
    (PQI) Initiative" in order to develop a statewide infrastructure,
    capacity and methodology to assess emergency department and
    hospital inpatient admissions data.
